Ukraine: the SIA builds bridges between companies and professionals

The consequences of the war in Ukraine are manifold: skilled workers are coming to Switzerland, while many planning offices have jobs to fill or want to help those seeking protection. The SIA has therefore set itself the goal of building bridges between refugees and potential employers. As an industry association, the SIA coordinates referrals between interested professionals and companies that are committed to supporting Ukrainian protection seekers and want to offer them a job.

We are reaching out to protection seekers with status S who have training in the fields of construction, technology and the environment. They should hold a university degree or a master’s degree from a higher education institution or a university of applied sciences or are still studying at the time of the placement application.

Interested job seekers and companies with job vacancies can contact us by phone (+41 44 283 15 01) or using the contact form. We are constantly reviewing the requests and offers and if there is a potential match, we will inform both parties – without bureaucracy and free of charge. The key criteria for a referral are, in particular, the type of work activity, the place of work and residence, and language skills. Details on the procedure can be found in the FAQ.

With this referral process, we and our members want to help those seeking protection to be able to set up a daily routine as quickly as possible and to contribute their professional expertise. The SIA Legal Service and the membership department are available to respond to questions.
